Business improvement areas are essentially self-help groups, made up of representatives of the membership they serve. The DSFBA exists as a direct result of the passion and dedication of our downtown business community.

Join the Board
As per our Terms of Reference, we can have as many as 11 members from our business membership on our Board.
The DSFBA Board of Directors meets monthly to discuss matters of concern to Downtown Smiths Falls, and collectively engage in strategic planning and brainstorming.
We have seats to fill! We value a diversity of opinions and would be happy to welcome new members to our Board.
Join a Committee
As per our Terms of Reference, the Board may appoint a committee for any purpose deemed necessary to fulfill the goals of the DSFBA.
Committees are held responsible to the DSFBA – providing a report at every monthly Board meeting and seeking Board approval and guidance when necessary.
We currently have an active Promotions and Marketing Committee and are building an MOU Committee.
